Also to your other point, OP didn’t specify GM tournament dueling or pub or whatever, and seeing as how they are asking for a hammer build in 2022 in the first place, I would assume they aren’t at the highest level of play or are trying to take this into a tournament.

I also will gladly admit I am not at the highest level of play either. People are so uptight in these forums lol. There’s a handful of people in this world that take this silly ass game’s pvp seriously.

What's your definition of doing well in pubs? Obviously if you're BMing random Baal games or random games called "scrub dueling" then literally any geared character is going to win most of the time. Most people don't even have finished characters, forget about PVP optimization

If you frequent the most popular public dueling games during primetime ("duel", "duels", etc) then I can pretty much guarantee you that you're going to get destroyed playing the way you describe. Good tournament players actually show up pretty frequently and they will definitely delete you in a BM war

I play on duel duels duelz or whatever games are up that don’t have red ping. I play all characters and I have a lot of success with my hdin aside from wind bone and really good bowzons like I mentioned.
