Think this will be good for ladder reset? Or better just to make a mf blizz sorc?

Since i have gotten countless PMs about the ladder reset, i figured I would just paste my replies here.



My reply:

I have the same debate as you going on in my head. While i do know the zon will be safer to complete the game, she does not have teleport and is not a real good boss runner. I guess it comes down to how you want to MF once the reset takes place. Do you want to clear areas and be safe, OR do you want to run bosses and take risks?

I myself have yet to decide and with 4 days to think about it, I am not in a real rush. I may just make a blizzer to run NM meph until I get a WWS with a decent ED. Once that happens I would do the hellforge hoping for the runes needed to up the bow. Besides, while I am running NM meph, other things will drop that will be usefull to me and thus, other characters will be more readliy available.

So in the end, do you want safety (HC), or do you want a boss runner?

I thought I would really challenge my zon to see what she is up to since the ladder was gonna reset. So I took my din through lillith and duriel and thought, stoopid IM next to izzy, lets see if the zon can do it.

Well, she handled Uber Izzy without a problem, the same cannot be said for her merc.



Thats when the bout had just begun. Stoopid merc wantin to die so fast.

Near the end i put on ATMA's amulet and the amp damage worked wonders. Izzy died rather fast with amp goin on and as you can see, confuse was not cast on him. This made it easy all around. When Izzy died, I was like, "thats it? hes dead already?" In the future, I will so be using her to take down Izzy as opposed to my pally. She didnt die once in the furnace, nor did she remotely come close. Sure, merc and valk succumbed to IM, but they are replaceable.



So in the end, know that she is a totally viable and durable and do it all kind of character.

y magic arrow and now guided??

Guided arrow is for PVP only. Magic arrow is better for PvM. Little to no mana cost. decent damage.

right and you need an attack to take out physical immunes. with some skills from gear and this attack you can take em out pretty easily. i used to toy with getting like fire or cold arrow since it gives more elemental damage when killing physical immunes and it is better to kill them with. much faster but then you cant kill double immunes. with magic arrow u can kill em all.

that's well done, i like how you added the items that could be dropped off nm bosses and so on, i just personally don't like zons for mf, i played them before, but sorcs are IMO the greatest, do you have any other guides?

nice guide indeed. pretty appealing for the standard person who's just starting out, but i really think that equipment is more important than anything for bowzons, so esp starting the new ladder, it would be better off starting a different mfer (sorc comes to mind) to get you started on at least some decent gear. Last season, i started with nothing with a bowzon right around 2 months before ladder reset, and after like 2 weeks, i had more than the gear suggested, but that was only because things like 20lifer scs and 7mfscs and socketed armors/weaps could trade for hrs (and then for whatever gear you would need) sooooo easily.

That being said, I have to say bowzons are still not as expensive as MANY of the other builds out there, and are really wicked fun .

Another question, on rune words, what do you think about a Brand gmb bow? Sure, its prolly out of the question if you talk about non-duped hrs and stuff, but the mods on it are really crazy: knockback, prevent monster heal, explosive arrows, ignore monster defense, 20% deadly strike, and a max of *shock* 670% ed (vs. demons). Leech is easily fixed on your rings, and although it doesn't have ias, you can rely on your other items and/or merc faith (which is my setup) to still reach an impressive 9/2 strafe. Even though it is EXPENSIVE AS HELL (mine cost me 10 hrs, because i made it myself twice to get more ed), I do think it's worth mentioning at least for boss-killing.

This is an interesting build, and since I'm a poor hopeless and clueless ladder magic finder, I'll start on this immediatly. One question though;



Care to elaborate this? It's unclear to me.
