If you really want to optimize as a Smiter vs. a BvC, I'd try these:

* JMoD with Sol runes in it, which would be -28 whole number pdr, this is a defensive option and it would cut the damage you take quite a bit actually
Let's say the barb has 5,000 dmg on a ww, the pvp reduction brings to .17 of it's original value, which makes that 5k ww turn in to a 820 damage ww
After your 50% DR, that ww is only 410 damage, if it crits/deadly strikes, it's still only 820
Having -28 whole number to cut the hits of 820 or 410 is actually a very significant amount of damage cut

* I'm not sure if Open Wounds works with Smite but if it does, try a Swordback Hold (which grants 50% Open Wounds)
Due to Holy Shield, this isn't a bad option at all, it would add a lot of offensive power on to the smiter and this would even be good against E-Shield sorcs (Open Wounds goes under E-Shield and hits life directly)
