Sorry, that must have been an outdated version of my FAQ's that I posted. Nonetheless, it is true that you need 150+ to make desync usable in pvp. I was wrong to post you start desync'ing at 140, The lowest that I was able to test was at 110ish. I will fix this in the later versions of this guide.
PerfectFlame said in his guide that he was desynching at 90frw on his hybrid and I can well believe that. I've desynched at walking speed so <shrugs> it depends on alot of things - bnet conditions, connection speed. Some people don't like having lots of frw and prefer mixing in more life charms. Some like tonnes of frw (like 170+). The best way is to find the amount of frw that feels best for you personally and keep dueling melee (preferably someone you know and who will give you accurate feedback). You can sometimes tell when you desynch badly because a baba can whirl from half a screen away and you can just drop dead. Or it can look like the baba is whirling through you and it doesn't seem to connect. It can get real erratic like that.

If you rely on the 20 str from titans, you won't be able to pick up your shield if you die with your bow out.
Not true.

Javalin gets equipped before shield. I know this because I lost my stormshield once in a pub duel where I left multiple corpses and I got corpse camped.
I had this much str at the time:
20 base
20 crafted ring
20 anni
20 torch
10 travs
15 nos coil
20 titans
total = 125
Now I just put 8 points in strength because theres no way in hell I'm going to get 8+ str on gloves that beat the ones I've already got (2 passive/20ias/kb/15dex/cold res). Current setup means I can re-equip all items in 1 go so I don't leave multiple corpses anymore. It is really important for Bowies intending to pub duel to make sure they can re equip all of their gear in one go because in pubs you are going to get corpse camped sooner or later.
