i agree

had nothing to do with running nihlthak, wearing seraphs, and having no anni.

the real problem is that you didnt have enough FHR

clearly a bad guide.

Well, I saw this guide, and thought it looked exceptionally interesting. However, since Druids are my weapon of choice, I thought I'd have a go at adapting it for a Druid.

I had to compromise a little on some of the equipment, because of differant FCR bp's for druids. so here goes....

Windy Druid, maxxed cyclone armour, twister, tornado and hurricane, with an early point spent on oak. After maxxing the wind skills, most of the rest went into Oak, but decided to spend the 4 points on getting a bear, the logic being it also gives me ravens, for blind, and the bear for an extra target to distract the bad guys.

The equipment, I went with shako, storm, enigma (in a hellforge plate cos it looks stylish), hoto, mages, arach, and was using nat boots for the extra res. Since found a pair of waterwalks, which i'm now using. Had to switch the rings for 2 x fcr rings, to make the druid 99 FCR bp....less than that and he's so painfully slow it hurts. He's got a CTA 5 and spirit on the switch. Backpack has anni, torch, 5 ele skillers and an assortment of 5 all res and life sc's.

I'm still tending to err on the side of caution (this IS a hc character), but gradually growing in confidence about jumping into a mob and letting rip with some tornado.

The merc, I went with an eth CoH, Lawbringer in a crystal sword, and an Andarials (Ral'd)

Pro's and Cons. The Cyclone Armour is a massive help, with the skill bonuses and synergies, it absorbs approx 3k damage. ditto hurricane, as it cold-slows anything near. Tornado does approx 6k damage, which, while not as much as hammers, is still pretty respectable, and certainly sufficient. The Oak also is a massive assist, however, i did mis-spend some stats, with too much in str, a point i'll remember when i remake this build after the reset. But, with BO an Oak, he has 3.5k life at lvl 87....get him hooked up with a good BO barbs wc's and he'll look pretty fine i think.

The Grand Vizier sometimes spawns with phys immune, which isnt a problem as hurricane takes him out on its own. The Infector also sometimes spawns with phys immune, but, when Ulf (actually I got a Brom, couldnt resist) hits with decrepify, The Infector loses his phys immune, and then he's quickly down with tornado. de Seis, always the one that worried me most, is for this build, actually remarkably easy.

The only real problem its giving me, is when i've got amplify damage curse on....then things start to hurt.

All in all though, a fantastic guide, that can definately be modified for other chars. My druid can now clear cs in 1 minute 30, something ive never been able to do before with a druid. Now I just need to get more confident about just jumping straight for the seal bosses and ignoring everything else essentially.

Gary, you have my deepest and most sincere thanks....this druid is one of the characters that has given me the most enjoyment playing.

this is awesome to hear andrew. glad the hear the guide could be tweaked for other classes smile.gif

as long as you watch your oak and dont get caught up in PI bosses, sounds like youre good to go.

one suggestion for you, may sound silly.. but carry a gavel of pain on switch or in your stash for amp charges tongue.gif
