Didn't read the replies, but noticed in the guide you said immune to physical ismail can be a problem.
Just keep a wand in your cube (in you inventory) with amp damage charges.
Replace one of your bo sticks with it so you can just switch to it real fast, cast, and switch back to your lem'd swords.
This will take away the immunity, along with making your merc really hurt the other ones.

very nice guide, only thing I changed is 1 point find item, 15 into leap.
this way I've got lower MF and high lvl warcry/leap, which seems to be working extremely well.
Max find item is a must for gold finders!
It increases the chance that you will find SOMETHING, not your mf!
This something can be gold, runes, items, gems, etc.
Council members have a VERY high rate to drop gold.
This means a lvl 1 find item would give you a 13% of a drop while lvl 20 will give you a 51% chance of a drop.
This is even better for the the times that they might drop 2x "things" when you use the skill.
EDIT 2: Noticed you said something about your resistances.
Fire resistances is pretty much not important versus hydras.
For some reason, with 2x dwarf stars on and any fire resistance, hydras from the council will not hurt you!
Other fire things can hurt you, though, like fire enchanted.
You can be more focused on your lr/cr for those hierophants that may be casting at you.
