To add some information on this, I did some testing in D2R and for TS to do damage, you either need 1) at least 1 hard point into TS or 2) TS needs to be cast from an active item.

To put it plainly, TS from Obsession does damage, but TS from CTA does 0 damage.

Yes, I have tested this and 100% accurate. TS from es cta for example will show ts under your feet but will not cast. I have ts on an ormus and cold orb which do cast/damage

I think I can get to roughly 1k DMG ts at lvl 92.
At 99. I'd assume ts outweighs the other options as the DMG goes up

Btw lpc why ca? How does def help in svs? I know a lot of people run CA but I can't figure out why

All good man, so ca casts a bolt of ice which slows the opponent. That hurts their run/walk speed for a while.

Can counter this with a cham, etc, but that means less life they have, so works for me!
