I never expected this thread to get so many posts.  What happens when it reaches 500?

Why not use thawing potions? If you bother to, its +50% resists for pubby games. If you're gonna go cry bm to your mommy, it really doesn't matter when you have 450% resist without them.
The reason his build would need kiras / resist gear and that kind of shit is because he uses max damage charms instead of resists, and therefore dies in 3 hits to a good blizzard.

Sure, I can probably kill most blizz sorcs without ever letting them hit me once. But why give them the chance to win? I don't like giving my opponents even a chance to win in any duel. They should be outclassed and outplayed at every single turn. What good is your BvC that gets shredded by cold sorcs, fohers, auradins, V/T's & poison necros? Aren't those all caster builds? IMO its bad enough that a bvc can lose to a bvb. 1 weakness is more than enough, and you're adding in about 5 or 6 by not stacking resistances

I have asked you a simple question, there is absolutely no need for that "If you're gonna go cry bm to your mommy" (let me know if you insist on it tho :) )

I prefer to leave my opponent a chance to kill me, since its more than easy to completely outstack the elemntal chars. You should try it too - it will force you to become better.
Good bvc played by some1 who KNOWS how to play a bvc WONT be "shredded by cold sorcs, fohers, auradins, V/T's & poison necros" whatsoever.

BvB IS the only opponent where BVC WONT stand any chance. Everything else can be killed while playing GM.

YOu should stop judging everything by pubgames, since its the wrong way to do it anyway

I'd never researched what the actual DR cap was.  People always told me obscure numbers like 53%, 51%, I didn't think it was 50% Even.  You proved me wrong there, but again,

This just goes to show that you lost to a char you didn't understand and got upset about it.

No matter what gear you use, no matter what skills, etc etc etc, if you're using a 450 damage grief, and you add +111 max damage, thats only +13% average damage on top of it. So that 444 damage you added is just +13% on top of your 3500 damage whirlwind (it should be higher than 444 & 3500, but the ratio is always exactly the same, 13%)

So sure, its a fair bit of damage, but its not enough to make a difference, whereas stacked resistances is life/death against the relevant char builds (auradins, fohers, vts, cold sorcs, psn necros, etc)

You don't need that much res for fuck's sake to beat those builds...

the other people in the thread still haven't figured out why I listed 2x eth lacerators
maybe you can try to figure it out, in response to that :)

I'll put it as a challenge. But boy oh boy, if paladins are blackies, dthrow lacerators are the long arms of the KKK

Ah, I see. Amp damage, open wounds, decent damage... That would be hard to counter. Too bad there's not much you can do vs. BvB

You sure know how to argue your points but I gotta disagree with you.

Just because Ive tried swapping a whole inv of 520s with 320s to see the difference, and the damage difference on how fast triwhirls kill people is *quite* noticeable when using 320s, and besides blizzard sorcs, fohers, auradins, and a few other classes using resists stacked that deep is completely pointless.
Of course you could kill most bnet players without any 320s and 520s do make it safer vs all because you dont have to bother with your stash every time someone switches to a blizz sorc, but to say 320s dont add noteworthy damage is well.. wrong.

That reminds me...that extra damage is per check if I'm not mistaken:

i.e. lots more than 400 damage per ww...
