Look, withought ever even looking into the calculations further (which I will for the sake of this silly shit)
I am telling you right now that GriefZ hits alot harder than a Death Cleaver
And that +400 raw damage is added in the exact same that all +whole number is added
Let me give you the simple equation:

Grief in this case would be adding the +400 to both that min side and that max side, as +whole number damage
I'll look up the general stats of a barb and we'll get conclusive with this but for now I'll leave it to this equation
Too early in the morning to be getting into this for me atm
Telling you, a GriefZ is going to hit alot harder than an EDC
You guys seem to think that +400 isn't doing much?
Why does Smite hit so hard then?
The problem here is that you are assuming that +400 damage means the same thing as +400 minimum damage and +400 maximum damage, but it's not. I know it looks like sematics but it's not and that's why so many people are still using grief.
If you know math at all, f(x)=x^2/x can be made to look like g(x)=x, but g(x) has a value at 0 while f(x) does not. So while these functions act very similar for the most part, they aren't the same. The same applies to +damage and +min/+max damage. So even though +dmg looks pretty similar to having +max and +min at the same time that doesn't mean it's the same thing. For example +damage works for smite and +max/+min does not. This means you cannot treat them the same in any calculations.

greif is bm in gm melee for a reason... lol
Yes, but that's because grief has %CTC on it and that is not allowed in gm melee. Grief is not bm becouse of its supposedly high damage, it's the CTC. GM melee players have been saying this for years.

yes, i'm testing it vs a bab with xxxk health, cb removes a fraction of their health so its pretty obvious when I got a crushing blow
sorry for the delay, results will be up soon
Edit: Ok finally done, here's what I got ( took a while as i realised that to make sure it was grief/edc not beast that was hitting lol )

Looks like grief damage is more closely packed in as you would expect, but EDC seems to be harder hitting. I guess if I followed tudey's guide to the letter and used all that +str stuff it would only favour EDC?
But anyway I'm of to work, I'll leave it to you guys to ponder the results ( if you have any questions about what I used pm me and I'll write to you when I'm back ).
I rest my case. Maybe you would consider readding my guide to the list now?
