u should need it, i dont see why u wouldnt... but if the case where u dont need it, a 40/15 would be wonderful in both boosting damage and helping you keep the ias needed after u get hit once by arach (65% ias)

The higher defense=lower dmg rolls is some complete bs rumour that zon guy made up lol, it's simply not true (if it were the case +defense would be a much better mod in general). GMB is the best bow for damage, sbow builds are for flexibility on main set-up (gmb builds still have plenty of flexibility with stash) with rare mat javs.

also bui have you tried just using ed/ar/str jewels, are they still better than 40/15+ber? 28 ed/59 ar/9 str jewels cost like 60 each on east so they're very available lol, or you can use the 30 ed/9 str/9 dex/3 rep jewels instead if that's your thing.

/e I'm pretty sure rare javs are much more common east. I saw you guys on europe have one 4xx ias eth rep mat pair which goes for 30k... oO, I even have a ed/30 ias eth rep pair of stygians and I don't even have a zon atm lol!

the 60AR from the jewel is the more important mod since you will be using less 32020s and more shadows (make up for less of dr from no ber)

if u want to use a 40/15 u have to put a ber in the other soc and use 4x shadow + 15x 32020s (to make up for AR)

and honestly, u dont need the str as much as the dex really... dex boosts AR and damage... its the most useful stat besides vita for ur sin (in my s/s i stated 15 pts into dex to boost AR - even tnought i could use all my gear w/ base str and dex)

str lets you get str bug

i dont think i'd be able to str bug w/ the jewels i use anyways

and i've tested 30ED/60AR/9dex/10max damage... a lot weaker than 9str one

(w/o the circlet or gface or wymrhide enigma - i have exactly 84str from my ring) i did not put a single pt into str

the str is for bugging, that's the main reason I used to use that set-up anyway (well, for str bug+DoT boost, but mainly for str bug), I just listed those as a variant because I could see it being useful if you wanted a damage boost/str bug/rep life.

and ofc those jewels are weaker, cause of min/max bug lol.

but anyway my main question was whether you tested to see if ed/str/ar was>that set-up as well as ed/str/ar/dex, since those jewels are common/cheap
