Theres no sacrifices for resistances there. The 15/15 jewel is for hitting the dthrow breakpoint, otherwise I'd probably Um or Ber it. I can swap out for CoA if I need the DR, anyway, plus stormshield in stash. Meanwhile, your bvc needs to lose his COA for a kiras, and you probably have to wear a 4x thul'd or sapphired monarch or something, lololololo. Oh, and you forgot thawing potions exist?

I'd never researched what the actual DR cap was. People always told me obscure numbers like 53%, 51%, I didn't think it was 50% Even. You proved me wrong there, but again,

@ Clan Iraq:

37x 3/20/20's w/ max mastery and max ww w/ +5 skills (torch, anni, battle command) is 444 damage (if I calculated right).

Imo that's quite a bit (not saying it's "teh best," but something to consider).

@ The kid who made this thread:

Who the fuck cares about 5% damage reduction? Well, while we're at it, that's like 8%...a ber rune.

There's a big, fuck, difference between socketing another item w/ ber to get that uber 55 dr or another rune/jewel

(or perhaps in your case a flawless topaz for mf purposes)

Yup, sorcs are meant to be a fragile class. Ever since classic, they've been a fragile class. They're not meant to tank, ES was just there to help survivability.

The usefulness of a sorc is being able to nimbly dodge and lay down attacks without being hit.
