To each of their own play experience. To date uber tristram is the most adverse environment to put the merc through, I can bet the treachery setup merc will not survive there alone with your char especially in a full 8 player game, unless given him pots. As for fort merc, he can survive anywhere, be it WSK Listers or Uber Tristram in a full 8 player game, alone, without worrying about pots at all.

The math are extensive, but not complete enough. As requested at the first few pages of the thread to recalculate for a nightmare merc setup, the exact setup for fort is on a nightmare defensive merc, not might, it makes a lot of difference on the merc survivability. If you want dps, then your are ignoring all other aspects that revolves around the argument (fort/holy freeze) which makes it superior.

Merc is also about survivability and tanking, not just dps alone. I assume you have read and follow all the posts and arguments on this thread, this means you are still adament about the truth. Sadly to disagree with you, it is proven practically that fort merc has better survivability. It is not that treachery less, it is a great armour as well, but not as good as fort when it comes to merc's survivability. I would in fact use treachery if I play at the start of ladder, but would definately switch to fort when I got the wealth.

IF you are talking about dps, then might as well use a 40/15 gulli + treachery + eth 40/15 reapers. There you go your best gears for a might merc, and stick to WSK Listers and standby pots for him and pray that your fade procast fast enough on him....

i put eni cause i like my merc can teleport imo

hmm according to all of this , best seems to precast fade then put forti (imo)

in middle of 3 ubers treachery merc will survive let's say,hmm, a huge 300% longer ! according to merc survivability there.

a last one. according to all probabilties u should right now go for a one hundred merc duels session.

sry for jokes, i know you take it serious, (maybe too much considering some (close) posts).
respect for your work on it sir :hail: ,nice guide ofc , but i would say treachery or forti mercs extrem basicly ..... cost 50 k.
obvious that both of you wont change their mind ...

after doing over 80k baal runs with a zon, fort keeps merc alive, treachery doesnt.

just the way it is. doesn't make sense.

true. treachery with no defensive aura will die faster.. forti merc dont need defensive aura..

It seems that after 80,000 baal runs, you just needed to learn to play the game yourself instead of letting your bot do it for oyu.
