note: ask donger for the complete list of weapons you could potentially charsi imbue. war axe is a no right? because it can be 6 sox (x6 rare jewels)?

Imbuing your weapon - For seriously dedicated players

Target Farming does exist in the game. In terms of getting that items that you really want, you are able to refine your chances somewhat. Nightmare Andariel for Stones of Jordan, Hell Council and Chaos Sanctuary for High Runes. Crafting at certain levels increases your chances of certain modifiers. In this regard here is are two useful resources carried over from d2lod (still applicable to D2r)

Of course, you cant craft vLLD items - the level requirements will always be too high (level 10 i think is the lowest it goes). But on the flip side, you CAN Charsi imbue your weapon. This is because at this bracket, only a certain (small) number of modifiers can spawn. In this regard, this dueling bracket is probably the best bracket to realistically self-imbue your end game weapon (due to speed of completion of quest).

vLLD Charsi Imbue Eth Items

Item: Throwing Spear : Level to Charsi imbue : Level 8
Item: Blade Talon : Level to Charsi imbue : Level 18
Item: War Hammer : Level to Charsi imbue : Level 8
Item: Great Sword : Level to Charsi imbue : Level 8
Item: Flamberge : Level to Charsi imbue : Level 8

For Blade Talons, you need to be level 18 when Charsi Imbue'ing (Different weapons have a different level requirement for optimal imbues). In terms of Charsi Imbuing in numbers, here are some methods:

1. The basic method: self play to Duriel in Normal Difficulty. You will typically be level 18 by this stage, at which point you return to Akara, Imbue your Ethereal Blade Talon, and then either throw it away when it does not have the repair modifier (almost always) or jump for joy at any weapon with the repair modifier (not frequent). Delete character and repeat process, buying another Ethereal Blade Talon along the way.
2. A more advanced method: Rush to Act1 Imbue Quest in Nightmare, twinked or with help from friend, and do the charsi imbue quest in normal and nightmare (stay at level 18 ok). Delete character and repeat process.
3. Community events / or providing a service to rush and level 7 players at a time to 18 for their Normal and Nightmare Charsi Imbue (or pay for their Eth Repl Imbued Blade Talon) should be explored.

Charsi Imbuing Ethereal Blade Talons at Level 18 should be the future for a lot of Level 9 TS Sins

Unfortunately, crafted items are not applicable for vLLD PvP - the level requirements will always be too high (level 10 i think is the lowest it goes). In this regard, this dueling bracket is probably the best bracket to realistically self-imbue your end game weapon (due to speed of completion of quest). In this regard I believe it is somewhere in the region of 1/20 chance of spawning Eth Repl for a vLLD 9 weapon. This is truly within the range of "achievable" if someone dedicates themselves to the task.

Note: change Charsi imbue your weapon to Charsi imbue your Ethereal Weapon
Note: ask castigate before including the item level for all charsi imbues from lld101

But on the flip side, you CAN Charsi imbue your weapon. As most of the PvP players of Diablo 2: Lord Of Destruction (D2LOD) will know, the Charsi Imbue quest was exploited throughout the latter lifetime of the game, resulting in perfected rare after perfected rare being "created" and placed on the market for sale alongside "botted" items. There is no evidence to support that this has been spilled over in Diablo 2: Resurrected (yet) and while bots DO exist in D2r, for the purposes of Charsi, this quest to my mind is the direction of travel vLLD Players (and Traders) should take to get an Eth Repl item, to use or sell.

Manually leveling a character to the required level and Charsi imbuing items over and over should at this time be regarded as the go-to for self "finding" your vLLD Eth Repl weapon, noting the odds of spawning the desired modifiers are much better at this level then other levels (because the modifier "pool" is so low).

I estimate you have about 1/20 chance of Spawning Eth Repl and a bit of %Enhanced Damage. Thats all thats needed to "start" your character. Upgrading and selling your worst weapon is also a good way to "fund" the rest of the project.

Oh, you may want to include this regarding target farming for inventory

In order to get (at best odds) 15 life & 12 Ar LC you need the LC to be ilvl = 19
(The affix "Bronze (6-12 ar)" have an Alvl < 12 so they can spawn on a ilvl 19 LC)
Which can be farmed in Act 2 on Normal difficulty at Canyon of Magi. The Hell Cats there have a mlvl of 19.

I like to switch things up after getting bored with cows. I'll join pub tomb run games or trist run games with semi-full lobbies and just farm canyon and parts of act 3.

yeah, I think I missed it. But yes - you can reroll large charms with 3 pgems.
That's what I meant by targetting ilvl19 large charms.

You find the large charm with the correct ilvl and reroll it. Similar to what is done with Baal gcs.

I haven't done rings or shields. I've just gambled those

From my understanding, character level doesn't matter when you reroll the charms. ilvl of the charm stays the same while rolling.
