It doesn't just hurt ladder pvp. The last couple ban waves also targeted utility programs like loaders and namebots which decimated nl pvpers.
Even though they can detect whenever people are using certain dupe methods (for example, whenever a player imbues, personalizes, or sockets an invalid target like jewelry or a charm) they don't ban for it.

The most helpful thing they could do is actually have people who have actually played the games work on them (or at least consult people who have done so)

that is true, i didn't think about the NL banwaves. the price spikes in gear has been a bit insane for some stuff. classic prices are insanely up.

having someone who's made it past rakinishu on the game would indeed be a bonus.

Yeah the price jumps have been crazy. I saw someone pay 250 fg for an unupgraded string of ears the other day.
That's how much I paid for a 1.08 string of ears the first time I bought one

no, because mobs kill u, not him. he doesn't host you, he just just stands there watch mob swamps on you.
d3 can not escape so this is very effective. d2 you can just escape. however new players may not realize it was a trap.

In that case the moment things go south still push esc down enter or alt f4 .

Did it a few times with 100% success rate

true in many cases, but not all. sometimes pkers fool around with you say doing quests etc, and draw lots of mobs, he is well geared and survives, but not you. Just a sample:
I have seen a few normal "a1 start" public games, where the guy is well geared and can kill blood raven in a few hits, then start drawing lots of mobs in stony rakinashu charged bolts etc, he runs around and do not kill anything, and if you really just starting lvl 1 fresh, you will be dead if you don't escape fast enough.

Edit: ofc I am talking about HC

In any case its not hard to pick these players out
Unless its a cbaal type game I suspect any player running around doing stuff all and always keep my dist

I always have the best luck selling packs of unid items and packs of unrolled crafts.

I target:

Charms
Jewels
Rare rings
Rare amulets
Rare Circlets
Rare Antlers
Rare Arreat Helms
Unrolled caster amulets
Unrolled blood rings
Unrolled blood gloves

Those are the best. I wouldn’t aim to find uniques/sets to sell as bots have trivialized their value too much at this point. I almost never see botters sell unid packs so that is what I always aim to sell each season. People love to gamble!
