If you go with no blocking on an ES sorc, get 200% FCR. If you go with blocking, get 105%.

And yes, I have dueled just about every kind of sorc in their prime (controlled by skilled and rich-ish people). I beat the es non block sorcs that didn't have 200 fcr with ease, the es block 105's were pretty un-beatable unless you use ow, the blizzard es sorcs can be easily beaten, the es max block orbers are easy. The hardest are skilled 105 fcr max block blizzers and fb'ers.

I agree with Olba. The only reason to be a slow casting sorc is to use a Whistans and get Max Block. If you're gonna spend the strength on getting spirit, you might as well utilize it to it's full potential and get the 200% fcr.
The only time I would see someone getting slow cast without max block is with a ber shako + ber btals (max DR). Spirit + wiz = 85 fcr. fletch = 105 fcr. Then you can run frostburns and sojs and whatever belt you want (you can switch out both Ber runes for something else and use Dungos if you want). You will get a ton of mana from the shako + sojs + frosties + spirit, have max DR, and decent damage. Still not the best build.
If you're gonna cast at 105, it should be to get max block.

prebuffing es is bm.....so while you gain a slight damage advantage in teams(someone else can bo), you cannot gm 1v1.

also i would HIGHLY suggest a fcr ammy so you can use 2 sojs. typical 105 setup none the less.

i would suggest better boots, but your on ladder so i can see why treks.

little bit to much mana i think, but that really comes down to personal preferance.

just for comparison sake my sorc stats are: 2.4k life/2.3k mana/21k fb/200 cast/86fhr/max res in hell without anyas, i have a pt in es/max tk and *legit mana*

That's the point. Spirit is bad on 105% fcr sorc. The only reason one uses 105% fcr is because one is using a shield besides spirit to get max block and cannot achieve the 200% fcr without the spirit. That's his whole point.

danm max block fanatics... why the hell would you ruin your sorc just to be amazing vs. bvc's... im good enough as it is, i beat many characters that block helps against even though i usually use a different character for them... in fact ive never lost to any1 who had 75 resists or under, only ones with 85 or more... and those of you who keep saying 105 fcr is slow... you're a moron... i would never go 200 fcr ES unless maybe i had fletch (which isn't legit) because you cant use frostburns and other stuff when you get 200 fcr

as for "prebuffing is bm" thats your opinion, i have level zero es so i have to prebuff... but i just use memory that is it... and most people dont seem to mind at all that i do it, i thought it was a smart idea. i have beat many top sorceress's 1v1 gm and they didnt care i used memory... + for team duels i use memory instead of cta so i dont even prebuff there. i use all legit items and no hacks, isnt that good enof? sorry if i didnt feel like getting to lvl 98...
