Fohers are not hard, im lvl 80 right now, 4(approx) points from getting all my curses. i chose to get 1 in revive. revives destroy everything, foh becomes easy as hell, hammerdins take longer to kill you, they disreact traps, makes sorcs much easier, they need to get through the meat shield. stops GAs and so on.

it is advisable to get 1 in revive, there is no reason not to.

I stopped reading after this:

WW Barbs are easy. Teleport away and wait for them to WW. Decrepify, then GG.
Decrepify decreases their damage severely, something like 50%.

1) Decrepify decreases my barbs dmg about 100-200. Thats nothing. It also makes me slow -> you will stay in ww range longer -> I will hit you more times. Simple as that. (how fast you move while whirling is based on runspeed, nothing else)

2) You obviously haven't met a really good barb. Good bvc-barbs uses botd+beast and 40% fcr = 10 fps casting. Thats only one frame slower than you which means that sooner or later the barb will catch you. Since ww is framebased and makes the first attack after 4 frames it means that a barb only need 10+4 frames to land a tele-ww on you. If you do anything else besides constant teleporting the barb WILL catch you, since you need 18 frames to attack and tele away.

3) You dont have max block. Good barbs do about 50/50 with good necs, assuming they have max block. You (or any char for that matter) simply cannot beat a really good barb consistently without max block.

Edit: oh and by the way, against foh:ers just stack some resist (about 150-180 depending on facets). Thats what I did on my nec, and no foher could ever beat me. If you dont care about bm, just decrepify, use walls, tele on top and spear/spirit/teeth.

/morot

this is true but there are 2 types of godly pvp necros. 1 for casters ( added all vita ~ used for clan duels ) . and one for pubs/private duels (dex added in, lower life but max block). And when dueling a barb, decrepify is not much use... so basically you're wasting a skill.

I HIGHLY advise you not to decept a barb. Theres a bug with ww that if you are going slower you get more hits in. This info was found at www.diabloii.net They also have a bone necro guide if anyone wants to check it out. Decept a barb and your dead in one hit. Your better off putting iron maiden and getting a point into revives and let him hit a revive and kill himself.

It's not a bug. You hit more simply because you move slower -> target stays in range for a longer time. Since ww is framebased (attacks each 4:th frame) you will score hits on your opponent as long as he is in range. For example a barb with zero pts in increased speed wearing heavy armor will score a lot of hits per ww.

First Off, Great Guide I liked it, but I do have a question

QUOTE (xutz @ Oct 9 2004, 08:51 PM)
Inventory: 10x PNB GC's, enough FHR PNB's to hit 86%.

now, that 86% Fhr, is that with all gear on then plus gc's or just the gc's alone??

86%fhr prolly with gear and gcs, but just makin sure

86% FHR Breakpoint with gear.

If you use Spirit, you won't need that many FHR PNB's, you'll need like... 2 or 3 - depending on if you Shael your helm. or not.

I forgot to answer to the DECREPIFY question to Barbarians

When dueling a Good Barbarian, don't Decrepify him then. sleep.gif
If you're good you'll have good reactions. Don't let him hit you sleep.gif
Duel defensively. I don't know how you really can duel offensively with a Barbarian =\

6k spear/spirit is about average

By the way, 6k spear/spirit is impossible with hoto/enigma/shako, etc. sleep.gif

6k is high damage.
With HOTO/Enigma/Shako, etc, you will hit about 5k -5.3k.

With a Spear Wand, you'll hit 6.3k spear, and 5.5 Spirit.

Both are hard to equally hit 6k, with the 125% FCR breakpoint. e_e
