That doesn't help me much...a comment on why you rated it that way would help me more sleep.gif

or you can just scamm ppls

Now really why would you even bother posting that? Scamming puts you at risk of getting your FG locked, which is an essential part of "getting rich" according to my guide...

So basically, you can only get rich in any meaningful way at the start of a new ladder season (ie. once every two years).. not very inspiring.. but it's true, and gg for spelling it out to people..

The rest of the guide is nice too, but goes off on tangents..

You clearly understand D2 economy quite well, but still you're missing a lot of very important factors..
icon_pointr.gif the most important part of getting rich in ANY economy.. i.e. Adam Smith.. supply and demand.. i.e. the difference between buying when you need something and buying when it's being offered.. believe it or not, this is the staple of modern economics.. it got me rich during season 3
icon_pointr.gif best items to trade with (pc 3x, etc)
icon_pointr.gif trading on d2jsp vs trading on Bnet (akin to buying stuff abroad and reselling it on western high streets). most of my riches that I made in season3 I made by buying stuff here and selling on bnet or vice versa
icon_pointr.gif having a "trade partner" spoof people on bnet/jsp by overbidding or overhyping an item (selling ravens for gul, nice?)
icon_pointr.gif borderline items with cult prices (i.e. some people will cling to certain iconic prices despite deflating prices)
icon_pointr.gif dupe waves (remember the crash of ist prices last year, euscl?)
icon_pointr.gif predicting price trends (really advanced.. check no. of people active.. check no of "need" threads vs number of "offer" threads in the last say 10 pages.. can actually make an educated guess about current trends)
icon_pointr.gif trader stereotypes on bnet (not as pronounced on forums)

Supply and Demand - FG is always in demand regardless of where you are, and when you're trading. (Is money ever not in demand?) Of course, I agree with you if I'm talking about an item : item exchange

Best items to trade - I have no idea what you meant here...I basically trade away items I find for FG

Buying elsewhere, selling on B.net - My friend actually told me I forgot to post that on here. You make alot of "money" by sitting in the trade channels.

Trade Partner - This idea is equivalent to scamming in JSP. On B.net, definately viable.

Cult Pricing - I believe that only matters when I'm trying to buy an item, not sell one.

Dupe Waves - I don't play EU so I wouldn't know..but HR's get duped all the time. That's usually why I refrain from trading for / them. I guess one thing I forgot to mention was that most "godly" items get duped (like 45 Res Eth Vortex Shields with high Def). Good catch ^^

Price Trends - VERY TRUE. The start of this ladder season I saw an Eth Ribcracker go for 1,000 - 1,100 and I had no idea what the item even was. As for the actual trend of prices, that is certainly a good way to get PC's on items you want to trade / buy especially if you just got back in to D2X and have no idea on what prices are.

Trader Sterotypes - I actually haven't traded on B.net for a very long time (bad bad me) but it was my idea from .09 and 1.0 that *most* people only wanted currency, or a certain type of their ISO. (SOJ's in .09, 290's and 3/20/20's in 1.0, etc.). I found trading for the "real" currency here worked better for me.

As for my guide going off to tangents...I wrote this guide when I was really bored and had Realm Down around 3 A.M. one night (or day whatever you want to call it). I had trouble putting everything in order so I put everything I thought of that moment...I wrote about ~10 pages on word single spaced, and then I added more stuff for about a week or two and then deemed it "good" enough so here it is ;o

Thank you for your comments, definately the best one so far, and I would edit these in if I could...

Hmm...to quote my own guide...

There are certain things you want to look for while browsing the forum. In peak hours, threads come and go so fast, many of them don’t even get looked at. A lot of times, all I’m doing is constantly refreshing the trade page so I don’t miss out on a good deal. Oh, if you have a FT list, or any kind of thread, KEEP IT SHORT. Almost no one is going to look at your thread if they see it is 5 pages long. Like this guide for instance…I’ll bet you most people skimmed over the first few paragraphs and decided it wasn’t worth their “valuable time.” Don’t worry those people will always be poor. If you have read this, post a reply with “bump up this thread” (other comments are appreciated) and I’ll donate you 5 FG. (Limited to the first 10 people).

To an extent, I wrote my guide unnecessarily long to see who would actually read it, and who wouldn't.
