meh, its speedruns, quake done quick was pretty (not tas as I understand it) entertaining to watch I can't say much about others. the d2 tas was just pointless imo.

tools, hax, etc.
play a game small sections at a time and rewind frame by frame if necessary to figure out the optimal path for the shortest time.
most of what goes into doing the fastest speedruns is just knowing the mechanics of the game and tricks to skip large portions of the game altogether if possible, not so much doing it cause tools are there to help get it right.

was the d2 one a full clear of bosses? got a link?

uh, saw it a long while ago, it was a sp runthrough on normal where the guy takes a wof assassin (cause he says thats the least investment in actually taking time to kill things or something) and just runs through the game with mh like navigation. goes through all acts pretty fast but like.. meh, its pretty amateur as far as speedruns go, I was like "this is boring" while watching it.

lmao. I used to fuck around on SP with hero editor, Assassin was actually easier to full clear hell naked (except boots/claws i believe) than necs.
