What's your block %? I'm using 95% es so resists aren't really my priority, that and 45ias/45res/cham life armor is like 1000x more fg than Twitchthroe

If I had it then I might try that. Going to use sandstorm until I can get some mana boots, easy 86% fhr there with treks + twitch.

That build was great in it's day, but it's all a rumor that Dreams don't stack... anyone test this yet and know if Dreams don't stack.

I didn't know for the life of me why people were maxing Light Mastery on a Fire Skilled sorc.. but now I see it...

Long story short, even if they don't stack, does Light Mastery help Dream's attack?

I guess I could invest in the Tokens and go to town with the various builds.


My Build (And it has problems, i'm trying to fix) Purely PVM, no intent to PVP

Helm: Andy's (+2 to skills and Ral'd)
Armor: Coh (+2 to skills and res)
Weapon: Passion (Phase Blade)
Shield: Phoenix (Redemption, +To Dmg, -28% to enemy's fire res)
Gloves: Magefists
Boots: Gore Riders
Ammy: Mara's (+2 to sklls and res)
Rings: Raven's (cold absorb, cannot be frozen) and Whisp (Light Absorb)
Anni, S Torch.

It's fun, and I can get all the way up to Diablo act 4 with this build... it's just so many fire immunes.

Has anyone tested the Dreams? that would fix a lot of it.

Decent guide, but there is one problem (one that i spotted)

This char can be very effective, however with a dream tower shield, max block will require a ton of DEX. And, to be honest, if you want any sort of chance vs a melee character (who presumably has MB) you will need MB, and high % DR. Without block/dr, a solid ww/zeal/charge will rape you (or other effective melee attacks).

Also, there is a debate on passion pb vs grief pb (yes, this is a zeal sorc guide, but im talking most effective melee)

Passion of course, delivers Zeal, and %bonus ar.

Grief however, delivers Greater IAS, a Solid chunk of PHYSICAL damage, and, can potentially allow the character to wear Dragon armor, which in itself adds a great deal of damage. Again, the healthy chunk of Ias and damage from grief can make this char more versatile than passion pb zeal. (Treachery=45% Ias, matched with -30 ias from BP, = to 75%ias. Grief pb with 40 ias+-30 base- 70, plus huge physical damage, and allows for Dragon armor which gives a lot of fire damage)


Not sure if you've ever considered/tested this, but its just an idea. IMO no mb=shit pvp. Passion/treachery vs grief/dragon=questionable.

You might be right.... however all of this hinges on IF Dream stacks still... If not, it can still do damage, but no where near as what was described in the first post.
