For a Sorc you should be using Infinity no matter what. To not use Infinity on a Merc with a Sorc is like not using shoelaces on shoes. Yes you can still wear your shoes, but it will be a lot more comfortable with shoe laces. Fact is, even if you aren't having trouble surpassing monsters with the dual combination of elements, using Infinity will allow you to kill so much more quickly.

Eth Thresher (or Great Thresher) Infinity, Andy's Helm with IAS Jewel and Treachery. IMO defense is very overrated as well, so no need to get eth bugged armors or eth Andy's.

But if you insist on not using Infinity, Eth Reaper's is by far the best Merc killing weapon. Leave Eth Tombs for Fury Druids.

but infinity only get rid of some lower imunes but most will still be imune right so why go to the trouble?
Stuff im gonna kill like pindle schrenk tresh ect u wont take their imunity anyway so better go for max phys dammage or am i missing something?

Killing faster is killing faster. Who cares if you aren't breaking their immunities. I mean first Fire/Cold is a combo I would never touch, but either way, Infinity should still be used. Plus it has 40% CB so it greatly helps against bosses.

yeah but even so if your thinking about using infinity why keep beating around the bush when you can just make a lightning sorc?

Yeah I mean I suppose, but looks like he really loves his Fire/Cold Sorc . But I mean it is pretty silly regardless, if he is only killing single packs like Pindle/Eld/Shenk/etc it is much better just to use a Hammerdin. Sorcs should be used for clearing Pit/Mausoleum/Tunnels/etc and should use Infinity.

i have a hammerdin and a druid all with crazy gear.
but i decided to play the game in origin.
so i made a sorc and lvl with gear i find along the way now i can get infy but i had 1000 infy light sorcs and they still cant kill light imunes
so what im trying to say why not go with diffrent elements and then get youre merc to push out as much physical as he can?

i believe ghosts can spawn cold fire and phys immune but the whole thing is if your lit sorc cant handle lit immunes simply with an infinity wielding merc then your doing something wrong theres a reason why telekinesis still stunlocks things even if its lit immune then your merc will just rape anything thats lit immune

now wat if i take tal trio but belt neck and wepon(so i dont have the nasty teleport on hit)
then enigma huge strengt bonus and i can use shako that would give me a huge life bonus in total would it be worth compare what i loose from full tals?

complete waste of effort compared to full tals, which also gives +150 direct hp (boable).

And what is wrong with blizzard sorc if you don't have infinity ? It has more areas to run faster, but I have not tested this.
Any info on A5 arreas like icy cellar etc.
