Here's my take on smiter build for ubers and PvM:
Ap Fort
PBGrief--Higher IAS the better
Zak Exile-- GG smite dmg + defiance aura And Life Tap
Guillames Face-- 35%CB
Gores-- again 15%CB
Dungos--vit and DR (duh)
1x Raven(20 dex prefered)
1x BK (life leech and +1 Skill)
Highlords ammy or Mara if need res

Skills:
20 Holy Shield
20 Zeal
20 Sacrifice
20 fanata
1 point in pr-req's
rest in smite

Str enough for gear (duh)
Dex enough for Phase Balded Grief
VIT All else here.

This build lets me solo most ubers. Maxing Zeal give a lot of flexibility that you don't get from maxing Smite.

Why would you use a grief?
Even black is better, and thats Thul io Nef

U can reach High Cb without a Weapon, and Grief is the perfect raw damage pusher...
Actually one of the best UT weapons. Black is rather the Lowcost Option.

i have a level 89 smiter i can now do trist ubers without using a potion, i use lastwish, exile, gores or marrows, i use either, coh, dracs, kiras tiara for resistance, to rings for dex to lift chance to block and i own ubers

i love this smiter

P.s i didnt add to zeal, i added holyshield, fana, smite and resist light
