Beast has CB while Grief does not. It adds Fana bonus to both weapons. It still reaches same speed as Grief/Death if you put beast on dominant side. Grief is better in PvP or a PvM Smiter IMO.

I don't see any reason to bash his work, honestly.
Beast+EDeath gives you a better damage with your off-hand, but Beast it self does much less damage than Grief. So the average damage could be roughly the same, if not better with Grief+Death combo, since Lvl 9 Fanaticism doesn't add that much damage.
The setup he advises gives you 50% CB with the Grief hand (Gulli+Gores) which is plenty enough, and 100% with the Death hand.
A Phase Blade is also by default superior to a Berserker Axe in PvM due to its speed and absence of durability. Eth Death Colossus sword is also Indestructible itself while 2x BA's would break incredibly fast.
