In front of hammerdins, defense is useless.
Forti is rather bad.
Bowa is one of the few char who can defeat a hammerdin.

People use to say that the best way to defeat a hammerdin is with a bowa.

I am trying to make a build to defeat hammerdins.
Please, admit that windforce + 160 60 (100life is useless since any hammer one shoot you) is better than faith + fortitude.
Res and defense are total useless in front of hammerdins.
Few hammerdins use a grief.

It's just an example build, with a pedagogical objective.
It's not a bulletproof build.
I also think it's interesting to put some points in life.
Fist of paradise is also a potential threat.

This build is the most effective build against a pure hammer paladin.
If you use this build, the paladin will certainly be forced to use smite/fist of paradise/charge.
Then, you can adjust the build to your preference.

Note that the damage with this build are 1011 - 7453 damage.
That makes 560 - 7002 without the 451psn small charm.
That makes 1120 - 14004 physical damage with critical strike.

This is very good.

Note that you can use titan/stormshield as swap (instead of harmony) if the opponent is trying to charge you.
This way, you should have 75% chances to block him.
