You guys are misunderstanding the difference between average damage on hits and damage per second
I said nothing in the video about DPS
and even if I did, The Diamond and the GMB setup has such a close critical % to one another, it wouldn't matter anyway
They'd be getting the same frequency of crits vs. normal hits and damage ratios would balance out
Again, I said nothing about DPS
I was showing the average damage between minimum and maximum damage variance, on hits
73% Crit (dealing so and so damage) means exactly what it looks like: (73% of the time, you will be dealing so and so much damage)
This is not DPS we are talking about, this is not Diablo 3, it is Diablo 2
If you can't understand that, you're trying too hard to troll
Aside from that, the argument has shifted from Diamond vs. GMB to (TSBoyer has flaws in his math) <-- which there are none
Just for the sake of trolling
I should get paid, for how much traffic I can create in a forum, seriously
I'm a fucking expert at this point
This doesn't justify anything.
You might as well have just said "whenever you critically hit, you do double damage!". This is what "average damage" implies. It doesn't mean every hit will be 2804. In means, ON AVERAGE, the damage will be 2804. Because you pointed out the actual % chance to hit critically, you must take that into account when doing the math.
When you say "average damage is 2804", you're fine, because the line below it implies that DS/CS wasn't calculated into this. There is no variable to include in your equation. BUT, you--in your own words, incorporated another variable into the equation, and didn't compensate your final value.
If I said:
1. Zealer does 1000-2000 damage.
2. Average damage taken in PvP: 255
3. Average damage taken with 75% block: 0
The validity of the second line is even somewhat questionable, because it wasn't specified if many variables (DS/DR etc) were taken into account. BUT, because of the line below it, we can at least assume that block % was NOT taken into account. However, because the actual block % was mentioned in the third line, the third line is flawed. Obviously, I won't block EVERY time.
The only thing you're an expert at is being an idiot. That does tend to draw crowds, though.
