Someone who actually has some time to help me test damage strings

We'll more than likely need about an hour, to be thorough

Not really a display glitch. I've tested the numbers before to verify.

An ed/max jewel adds the ed to your total min damage ed% pool, and the max damage only benefits from ed% outside of the jewel. So, if you have 1000% ed from skills, and 40% ed on a 40/15max jewel, the 15 max will benefit from the 1000% skill ed, but not the 40% jewel ed. It's opposite for ed/min. In the case of ed%/min/max, the ed% doesn't apply anywhere at all.

However, if you socket ed% first, then max, the max will benefit. If you add max first, then ed, it won't work correctly. Same for min.

we just tested it with ed/min and...
idk, the results dont make any sense

Remove anything that gives ow's/Cb/crit/ds so it doesnt through the results off

You guys aren't testing correctly is the problem.

Instead of averaging, you should keep hitting until you are pretty sure of the maximum possible hit achieved. If the ed/max were only a display glitch, the top number would exceed that of the screen max dmg. Easy test.

yes... and it does, but the minimum possible hit is also significantly under the char screen min dmg
why does it go both ways?

zon was wearing ONLY %ed/min dmg armor and a 1-4 dmg short bow
1 point GA
103 str (enough for armor) and whatever base dex is on a zon, 25 i think

displayed on screen was like 92-93 dmg, high hits were 29-30, which is basically double what the on-screen says should be
but low hits were 4-6 dmg.... explain please

92*.17 = 16 min dmg. Your zon seems like it must have some crit on it.

only skill points used were to get 1 point GA

so no crit, no ds
and even that wouldnt explain the low hits of 4-6 dmg

What's the screen damage listed with and without the armor?
