Myself and it seems a few others mistook it as a sva shield comparison and were confused at the lack of spirit/exile lol.

its not really meant as an svs or sva article though it may appear so on the surface

it was merely a means of discussing the mechanics that regulate smite dmg through shields.

Edit: you can also find +2 paladin magic Sacred Rondache and Targe of deflecting with Knights or res mods. Often get two sockets at Larzuk.

these have the same mod style and my described rare shield (without the possibilities for bonus res etc)

Rondache is the highest avg damage in game (46.5 vs 46)

this is because 3 comb you have 45% ed from smite and 3 hs levels (approx 3 damage)
with 2 pal skills you have 30 ed from smite and 34 ed from fanat totaling 64% ed.

The 19% damage applies to your base shield, grief, and holy shield damage and will outweigh the holy shield damage.
