i havent used a grief on my charger b/c im a 2hand build but grief smiters that switch to charge on me are pretty effective so i'd think it'd be a great axe for a shield/axe build. if i were to go shield/axe, id probably go res phoenix/grief... i might get around to making one someday but right now im focused on my liberator to counter barbs as well.
as i said ive been messing around with liberator builds and i found that you can substitute a bit more of the gear than i had originally thought. for those of you who want more fhr vs trappers / other chars, this setup is nice, if not the best:
15dr 30 res coa w/ 15res/-15req x2
whatever axe/shield or 2hand axe you prefer
btals w/ a ber
bloodfist
raven x2 or raven/wisp if you have godleh charms
24fhr +20-30str +life +res belt (if you get a good one, youll almost = dungos life, 40vita dungo = 120 life, and you'll gain res/fhr in the process... basically dungos isnt needed cuz 15dr coa + 33dr btal = 48)

if you're going to go liberator, you want 75fcr so just substitute bloodfist for trangs, 2 fcr high ar +str/dex rings, and a 35fcr sacred targe on switch and use 6bo cta to cast hammers. ill let you know how effective it is when i get it up and running... just working on getting a godly belt now and a bunch of hel's to reroll my sacred targe.
