20 venom is nice to have either way. going 9x gc is still viable not just cause it boosts venom alone but a number of sd skills. (even though gc/320 split is still what I prefer on ghosts vs all builds)
builds that use gt with just 20venom + max gcs are kinda bad. but nothing wrong with maxing venom on a build using good claws. no reason not to on a ghost anyways. <.<
hybrids are the worst of standard sin variants to go up vs necros anyways. ghosts or pure trappers both fare better in this matchup imo. either a combination of heavy hitting claws + venom + max mb, or traps + fireblast use + max mindblast. hybrids have whirl damage and traps but not quite as strong at either and no maxed mb support for chasing. so they are naturally worst vs necros, maxing mindblast on a hybrid does give chasing power but then the other skills aren't as strong as a pure build.
On a ghost, I max it.
On a hybrid, I don't.
