Just to help clarify a few things...

This dueler will have to compete in an "open" category in any dueling league due to the combo of ranged/melee. And up against recasting bone armor necros = you will have a tough time. Charge is a mana whore so your charms will need to include mana... period! If you ever stand there and let my pure 18 zealot just hit u to regen mana you WILL regen but only cuz ur running back onto the moor to pick up your body. Standing still to get hit would be a really stupid technique IMO. Pubs u can just drink some mana pots but leagues u will be owned without gfg mana from somewhere (assuming you charge often).

This build will have near nothing in the mana pool so keep that in mind. Also, keep in mind you need good ar to hit so clegs is the ONLY choice unless u socket your ws with max/ar jools. Clegs has that nice ar bonus! Another helm that might save you is a visionary of the sun with 2s and some good max/ar jools in it so you can be more versatile in your weapon choice.

I can't remember if ds works with charge or not ... I thot only cb worked but I could be wrong. However, on the zeal side... his 1k dmg has a 30% chance of doing 2k that is why clegs pretty much owns!! Pure cleg zealots can hit in the 1.5k - 2k range with chance to do double that. 6s milpicks are the absolute wrong wep period! The ONLY two choices are clegs or 5s ws... mil picks are more for lvl 9 duelers than for 18's.

For the guy that wants dr vs. smiters... duskdeep helm is about the only choice. I have eth/rep warjavs on the switch for my pure zealot so I'll try to chip away at their life with those then WALK in for the kill. With a hell rush this guys life will be in the 800-1k range! But, if you are raping lvl 80's in pubs then they are absolute retards!

I have one of the top 3 zealots on West and can post ss's if you like BUT...mine is norm rush only so stats won't be even close to what this build suggests. I can give you ideas on what to shoot for on gear tho with pics if needed.

Just to clarify a few things:


I'm on europe, the combination charge-zeal is no problem there...
my current char has ~200 mana (thats enough for most duels, only got problems with the boner necs)

Ofcourse Deadly strike works for charge

I never needed a duskkeep vs a smitere.

This is a really nice guide .. I made a lvl 18 Zeal pala before checking this out, and it looks like it would beat my
Cathan / Cleglaw / Sigon zealer for sure Even tho mine is made for PvM, but still..

But the eq could be different depending on your duelling style ..
For example, My charger (lvl 29) had low life, low res, low def etc.. but pwned many duellers with one-hit wonders cuz he had massive damage and ar.
So, some people like the extra offensive style (like me ), while some aim for a bit higher life / res etc.
This goes for the inventory too, it's just a matter of how you like to duel

i use a lvl 18 crown with 10fhr and ar/lvl .... much more affective.
