This guide is just as shitty as the last time you posted it.

Guess i did forget that in the guide too :)

Characters that are hard for a mage to kill:

1. Wind Druid, with the wolves and the ability to recast really fast, makes them super hard for Mage.

2. Necros with good resist and know how to move/walk a hdin. The average necro doesn't have tons of resist, so foh usually kills them quick. If you get against a necro who has good stack, you are in for a long fight. Hammers don't often hit necros if they know what they are doing. If they know how to walk a hdin and use spirits properly then the mage has a difficult time dueling a pnb necro.

Somebody posted that trappers would be a problem. They are only a problem if you don't have your resist setup on and you try to tank them.
If Foh isn't killing them, or they are blocking it ( i think they can block foh with claw block iirc) I like to put on my 95% LR setup. Even with this setup on, lightning still hurts me a little because i'm not "absorbing". If i were to put dual whisps on then they wouldn't do anything to me. The Mind Blast would hurt more then the lightning.
Sometimes i charge them with grief and the resist setup.
Other times i can jump on them and cast a couple hammers and move away quick. Drive by hammers :)

But to recap, Wind druids and Good Necros are the most challenging for a Mage to duel.

noob, foh helps u piss people off mostly and cut away at their life and it helps a hell of alot to bring them to your hammer fields.

u ever played hammer vs hammer? fkn boring if they both play defensive.

not talking about pubs here, sure its great vs baddies

I play ham v ham with tele only so its not really that boring and foh doesnt really help much there

Sorry, i don't find 95% resist bm. Its been ok since the Temple Days and i'm not changing my view on this.
If your character is built with one dimensional with attacks, then shame on you. I don't complain when my fire sorc gets resisted. I know its fire, and i know it can be tanked easily if you put some Max res on like hotspurs and nokozan ammy.

Besides the fact you can achieve 95% without any special items (like t.gods or Lo Rune) on a paladin by using the resist auras anyhow. Is that BM too?

Also i don't complain if people resist my FOH on my mage
Usually the person has to sacrifice something to resist the foh completely anyhow, so it weakens your character a little, or significantly depending on how you choose to get to 95% and increase your stack.

Not a big deal to me.

This is why hybrids are awesome on a paladin, they can use multiple skills effectively at the same time without changing gear around to do so.
