That was the main driving force behind creating this. Once I really got into researching, I realized that those GG items really aren't necessary.

Nope the guides very good, only things i'd personally change is the things that prevent you from going with those higher items later. It's those things that help make a smiter more flexible later on (tele'n, max resist against uber meph without an aura cancel... that kinda thing.

You can def make a better character with a last wish and exile, but the core elements will of course never change. Blizzard by the way has confirmed that respec skills will be in the new patch. >< They prolly wont have respec stats though....

Quoting this again just for the people that missed the point of this guide or the people that just bash guides for the hell of it. Great guide for what looks to be a a very inexpensive and effective smiter. I might give this a go if ladder ever resets.

LW is junk, that's abhout it it is no flame to say that you get tbetter results while using other and cheaper items..

you're missing the other resis because you waste too many points on conviction

You said I was missing some 90 points in rez, there are no skills that add that resistence, unlless you are talking salvation, but conviction adds more resistance while fighting meph than that skill.

You say I "dont know what I'm talking about" yet you fail to see that you only need 165 rez on your gear (30 scrolls, -100 hell) whith this build.

i don't want to get into a debate that has little to do with this build. Using HRs is hardly cheating... after all, some that forum gold you have prolly came from someone who bought FG, so you by extension are cheating by using JSP...

I actually put this link up there on first page or so, it has a nice mini guide to kill ubers one by one. >< I like taking meph out near griswold though.

Nice guide , but not really needed all the explinations.A smiter can clear ut (decent time) with equipment that worth a few perfect gems.With life tap active Ubers dont even come close to a real challange.
Why 20 conviction ? 1 point in salvation (doesnt even need other extra points to reach it) is enough to deal with Mephisto.Those points can be spent better.
