What about fcr - how can you even play fast with low fcr? I can't imagine actually, if you tried summoner, you should know that fcr is big part if you want to be fast.
Btw at least try this build and say that fcr is not needed at all - i am pretty sure you will agree with me.

i've made 125fcr summoners and i've made <48fcr summoner
honestly, fcr has the least to do with your kill speed, with maxed ce it only takes 2 casts to kill everything, first amp, then everything dies...
merc will do more damage with treachery, guillaumes (ias), and a thresher/giant thresher infinity

fcr on switch if you need to tele places, but this is an area killer not a boss runner.
any character can teleport to mephisto and zap him down in seconds, you're missing the beauty of the summoner, in that you can clear the whole WSK in minutes

explaination of strategy would be more worthwhile than for gear
how do you make the most of the skills, thats what people need in a summoner guide

homonculus > spirit pretty much any day of the week
i put a wisp protector on and he's invincible, really souls are the only thing that can hurt you if they surprise you, which they will if you go teleporting around like a fool

I was using my summoner to mf with, that mean i need fcr.
Actually i don't even want to discuss/argue about fcr, cause imo 75fcr at least is a must if you want to play fast and enjoy your play (i don't say you can't play good with 0fcr).

I think i'll add explanations in guide, too bad i can't edit =/ anyway thanks.

Why do you have skeletons if you have merc damage. The main source of damage on this character is your raised army and corpse explosion. Pride doesnt stack mathmatically like you are trying to make it seem here. check the pet damage calculator in my summoner guide.

Your mercenary already does 40% or more of crushing blow which is why he's so effective against bosses. His damage can be crap and he'll deliver crushing blow. This helps keep him alive should you chose to chaos.

My build says you can do whatever you want regardless of what you chose to do. Your summoner can handle it all. Here you are saying your mercenary dies in chaos so you better not do that. Seems limiting to me.


I agree about fcr though. Anytthing under 75 and you aren't a summoner. A summoner is a caster. He casts all his attacks. Faster cast rate = faster curse and c/e, faster teleport, faster summoning, faster game play. A PVM summoner should be FAST!

I will compare this build with act1 merc and just wanna look the difference.
Actually even infinity in low damage weapon should kill IM'ed merc quickly imo or? Let's say skeles does ~1.5k damage, that mean 15k merc is like 10x skeles or? +speed

Hmm how you got 20lvl bo, i got only 14lvl. ofc i don't have sojs but still you lvl is a bit too high =)
