All I've said is that the math involved is simple. It requires stuff that pretty much any 15-year-old should be able to do. Oh well, should be and should be, not likely due to the god damn gaussian distribution.

If people in these forums do not meet your intelligence standards, perhaps you should seek some who do instead of wasting your time here.

You may dislike the guide as much as you want. Boring or whatever. In fact, I never expected everybody to appreciate it, as there is nothing revolutionary about the content. Even then, a large
number of players are unaware of it. The least we can do is share the information. Some will understand, others will not. And those who understand are likely to put it into practical use.

Subsequently using the guide to express your general view of the public being lazy or stupid while boasting about some of your own mathematical achievements ... exactly how relevant are they ?
If anything, it amounts to a display of sheer arrogance.

You could at least seem less silly by acknowledging that the guide is not pointless.

On a sidenote, the only other time I've seen Olba argue with someone (or post at length at all, for that matter) was regarding some guy's fissure build. Granted the build was rather mediocre, but olba presented pretty shoddy reasoning for why it was mediocre. I pointed this out in a PM wanting to engage him in discussion and he never answered, I gave up after two PM's =\

This guide is great IMO, as it serves to inform the reader in a relatively concise manner. Sure, the mathematics involved aren't very complex - but what if one had simply never considered creating a mathematical function to determine the point for Sur = Psap? Personally it had simply never occured to me, and I had just calculated it on a case-by-case basis. Fael's taken a common question, "Which is better, Psap or Sur," and given the average player an easy means of determining which is superior, along with the justification for said means - and along with that justification Fael gives the entry-level gamer the concept of gaming-math. The point of the example which you called a "waste of time" is to show someone who's interested in figuring out how he concluded "Psap>Sur up to 759 life."

Your complaints really don't make sense tbh. Who cares if the math is simplistic or not for you or I? An entry-level cookbook would contain recipies (guides) with many base, simplistic, and superfluous instructions for an advanced cook. Individuals such as myself however would require the thorough instructions, as I have a very limited grasp of culinary arts. I'm sure I could've eventually figured out how to make a cake on my own eventually, but it would've been more time consuming, and trial-error based learning rather than conceptual learning. By reading the cookbook I not only learn a given specific recipie but I also gain insight into how to develop a recipie, what's required material wise, etc (assuming it's a well written book).

Just because the guide seems to detail calculations too much for your tastes doesn't mean it warrants criticism. Please remove your head from your ass.
