Berserk and WW end up with pretty much the same igg/min overall, as WW kills a bit faster, while zerk allows for an extra 450% gf on kill (both can hork with same gf%).
I had slightly better results with zerk, cuz on WW I was either shattering a few corpses with reaper merc, or having slower kill speed without it. WW has better QoL tho, cuz you can leech.
Letting merc kill is an option, can be a bit cheaper overall, nearly as much igg/min. Kinda boring tho.
Warcry, or whatever other strange build = bad idea.
Here's my preference for a trav zerker:
Grief PB 32+ ias, as high dmg as you can afford
6x Lem off-hand
enigma (non-sup MP/BP for low repair cost and no mouvment penalty)
2x dwarf 15 mdr (all you need to completely neglect dmg from hydras)
goldwrap (10ias on it means you reach max speed)
chancies or LoH (pretty much the same igg/min)
30frw, 80gf, light/cold res (bonus: other res, fhr, dex, mf), or some cheap infernos (but you don't need the fire res with 2x dwarfs, so its lower frw/gf)
Then, if using 2x 6 Lem weapons on swap, I like to reach 37fcr on gear.
Circ: 2barb / 20fcr / 30frw / 80gf (bonus: 2os, dex, str, life, mf, res) -> cham (+Lem if 2os)
Amy: 2barb / 17fcr / 80gf (bonus: str, dex, life, mf, res)

mix and match, if it can help reach higher find item % and you value other drops than gold it's worth it.
Find item's lvl breakpoints: 20 / 22 / 24 / 27 / 29 / 33 / 38 / 45
Inv:
with both find potion and find item maxed, I like to reach 76% at lvl 33, which requires 2x warcries skillers with the above gear (ideally with 40gf).
Or 77% find item with 2x +3 sticks on swap and 1x skiller to reach lvl 38.
Filling inv with a bunch of dmg/gf charms + cube, or leaving some room to pick up stuff, you decide.
Merc:
a2 might
eAndy ed/ias jewel (+2 might, leech, reaching ias bp, psn nova = stops regen)
eAP CoH (no cold dmg, +2 to might, stacked res, 200ed to demons, leech, dr) much better than fort
eArioc's Needle (+4 might, as much dps as eBotD WP)
3k life after BO, then dump all in str
Start horking when there's 2-3 council members left (ideally the minions), your merc should be able to finish the job by the time you are done horking/looting/id'ing the others
If you have fast load times, leave/enter game in a4 to save the long town travel in a3.
If not, using 2x hoto on swap can be good, not only for the higher BO & find item %, but also for +6 to increase speed while in town and saving a few frames of tele/hork.
