Bowa vs Smiter is usually quick and brutal. Use puddles, switch to javs when close, walk throw walk.
If the Pala is low and your full life feel free to stay on bow slot and pray that you dont get 1-hit killed, with so many arrows the Paladin usually dies in this situation (risky though haha).
