Okay wlel here's my questions, why does no one ever talk//thinks about eth carapaces?

I mean, you don,t need to use a raven for the cannot be frozen, cham the eth carapace, get 2800 def armor, with 60 cold resist, + black way cooler,
then use double angelic rings + ammy get nr1 attack rating + 50k def

No?

I used to have amelee pally full of 3/20/20s + that setup and I could take down eth glitched valors setup because I had more def and as much AR

+ I'd rather use a eth carapace to a eth gbane as in guide


There must be a reason that armor is so forgotten, osmeone explain me.

its a good armor, but i guess people don't really know the powers of it, i myself also used it on my zealers.

It's not really forgotten, no one really uses it because it doesn't really do to well. It's great for a conc barb but usually doesn't work to well on a zealot.

Nice guide, i found it helpful as i have never made a zealot or pure melee char before. this aaaalmost makes me want to start playing d2 again and making one.

A few constructive crit comments:

I'd like to see:

1. examples of rare weapons/helms, maybe even armor?
2. some stats people should shoot for (def/ar/dmg/life/ect) and perhaps the theoretical max of these ( i love pushing the max stats )
3. a few breakpoint tables or something, like ias needed for non-ba weapons, how much fhr is needed, ect.

Basically i just want more! overall i love this guide though!

If I do decide to make another version I am going to show the char screens of each different build so you can see the dmg/ar/life for each to help decide which one you want to do. Also, I did plan on adding in the the stats for each setup in this version but decided not to, but I may in a future update. I don't know why I didn't add in the ias table, good idea. If I get the time to do another guide I will def add in all that. Thanks for the comment.

how big is the melee/zvz scene on east nl right now? (since the ban and all) and also, how many of the insane rares are left? i only played west before so im not sure how hard east got hit in terms of the one of a kind items.

East got hit pretty hard, but there are still a lot of melee guys around. East nl has by far the largest gm melee community so it's the best spot to make a melee. As far as rares go, a lot did get banned but there are still plenty of godlies around . The top melee clan on east did get banned though (civic) which had a lot of members in it, but the gm melee games are still almost always full.
