hoz is for duels where fcr is not needed.. exile is BM on east, so hoz is the default shield when fcr isn't needed..

exile is only bm vt vs. vt on east

i have 3 setups, for diff situations: (they ALL have max block)
mirror match = standard
hdins = standard
barbs = standard
zons = standard
necs = fcr
sorcs = fcr
sins = standard/fcr (depends)
druid = fcr (maybe a little less fcr and get 50% dr)
pubbing = exile

fcr isn't useful against a lot of chars.. all the ones that don't teleport for example.. fcr against bowazons would seem pointless, just as an example..

and exile is BM against all chars, not just vt vs vt.. for the ctc lifetap..

yeah there are so many chars that dont teleport, really.

20fc ammy and a 10fc ring for 30fcr with exile in default setup is usually enough. use trangs to get 48bp.


on a sidenote, even though foh has a casting delay the casting animation still shortens by reaching higher fcr breakpoints. which is not a real reason to use more fcr but still nice.

we've had the exile is bm/gm discussion lately and it turned out that basically everyone who sucks at dueling cries about exile being BM and that decent players have no problems with it actually. look it up if you want to see kids cry and how i destroy their arguments. (such as "exile = juv" wahahahhahaha clowns XDDDDD)

yes, there are a few chars that actually don't teleport.. all the zon variants.. a BvA, smiter, etc.. choosing fcr over better smite in this case would be foolish..

and about exile being BM, bits and pieces of arguments don't make it GM yet.. it's been established for a while that using lifetap in duels is BM.. since exile has a ctc tap, it is considered BM..

as a sidenote, it would be awesome if they remove the ctc tap from exile in 1.13.. without that, it's an awesome shield, combined with a coa build..

only regular bowzon builds and shapeshitters dont teleport normally. why the heck dont bvas teleport? WAHAHHA does your bva also wear a shield against smiters? you can even effectively teleport in smite duels but it's not necessary. who cares about smite vs smite duels anyways (and you can swap out your fcr ring to a bk or something).

on your realm it's been established. on mine it hasnt. and even on your realm those people who can actually play the game agree it's BM-ness is way overrated for various reasons (read other thread).
exile is fair and even with it, vts and smiters are not among the very top dueling chars. it makes them more competitive though in some matchups. which is totally okay
