Step 1: type /ignorepersist and make sure it says "enabled".

Step 2: type /filtermsg *InsertWordHere* .
(each word you add, is permanently added to a filter, which from then on will block the entire line of text from appearing on screen ingame, if anyone uses a word that is designated filtered)

Step 3: type /unfiltermsg *InsertWordHere* to remove a word from your filter list.

OR alternatively you can edit the .txt doc like so,

In your d2 directory, there is a file labeled "ignorelist" This file can be opened with notepad++
and once u open it you will see a list of words you designated to be filtered. All you need to do is delete unwanted words from the list and save/exit.

I would like to add to this, that if you use a persons account name or character name as the filter word, they will be permanently squelched.
If anyone cannot figure this out, pm me and ill meet you ingame to further explain how the ingame filter system works.
