Btw, the max block/dr setup looks like this:


Amulet: Maras ---> 19-20% FCR crafted +2 skills druid amulet (preferably str/dex/resists)
Shield: Spirit ---> Stormshield. I recommend shael in it (7 6 frames)
Pelt: Exact same rare, but socket it with a Ber (only 1 needed; for a 2 socket rare, use the second for a shael or resist jewel or facet)
Same strength, but enough dext for max block, and the rest into vitality

Rest of the gear should be exactly the same. This still hits the 99% FCR breakpoint, but you'll lose 2 skills, a ton of FHR, about half your mana, as well as a considerable amount of HP


That +2 skills really takes so much away that I'd recommend against it. You lose an absolute ton of damage on all your skills. It cripples your HP; you lose 142 stat points, and a further 22 vita (non-boable) from spirit.
You also lose +4 bo, since your crafted amulet won't give it. And the setup will also cost even more
IMO its simply not needed, since you'll still die to a BvC if he manages to tri-whirl you, and if you played properly, he should never have that chance. Yes you'll do better against barbs, but thats about it. Smiters, zons, etc were already easy if they didn't absorb, so what are you really gaining? Much worse against sorcs/necros/druids/etc. So I recommend against it, but thats the setup you should use if you do it.

163 setup is pretty cool imo

but there are insane 20fcr amus and circlets etc available for 1gold so its a lot easier to get a good 163 setup where I play with this char

losing 3-4 skills is not worth 163% fcr imo

you played this char on hak realm where volcano does 6000 damage. On bnet, you really need to scrape up those skill points desperately. 99/99 with much more damage is better imo. Its not like a windy where you need to be able to chainlock/tele/nado as fast as possible, you only need to teleport + teleport to pull off your bearswipe, and the chainlocks come naturally


still it could be done. I've tried it but didnt really like it, but if its your style, fly with it. Just swap out pelt for circlet, maras for craft ammy, 1x soj for fcr.

it is with d2pk damage.

I kept 99 switch setups in stash for a while but I stopped using them pretty much after a while. 99 facet sword/shield/circ setup got some use, 99 hoto/ss collecting dust.

On d2pk I'd agree with that, but thats with like 3x the damage on everything

I'd opt for vita/glass build with high damage > MB/DR with -2 skills > 163/99/no block/dr with -4 skills
as far as battle.net goes


don't get me wrong, all three work, but its a matter of preference and matchups.
mb/dr gonna be better against barbs, 163/99 gonna be better against glass sorcs, vita/glass gonna be more well rounded and pubstompy.

problem then is getting people to duel vs made up items. on d2pk its kinda accepted since everyone there is running the patch.
ww sorcs are fun to play.
also g/p kicksins <.<

LoLo based on cs zons, trappers, and light sorces? I think 20/15's would serve a more rounded purpose, assuming you used an ss. If light ever gives me problems, i prefer use other options. D2pk is also ideal for having the best of the best, and I have limited funds on b.net atm.





A good vita bower will have maxed resists. There are some absolute tanks on USEast, I'm remaking mine atm. Spartikis' zon is also very reputable, much to the discomfort people had with his build... But then again, people ragged on mine and now half of east owns or has owned an almost identical copy to my psn telly bowa, although I fear that no one has done it justice since Kc [kcx, baconturtle] and I had ours. At least, I can't let go of my ego enough to admit that there could have been an even near-equal to our genius with the character ;]
(Just as an example, there used to be a bm team [BvC and a Trapper hybrid] who would enter a game and prebuff bo/sorc's enchant, and I sat in cp sorbing fire + lite so hard their phys was almost instantly healed for a good 4-5 minutes before the barb knew to use berzerk... I wonder if they're still around, humm..) Oh, and I sent them both to town by stabbing them with wiz spike.

I'm seriously considering making this or a variant next, always good to have two duelers.. any more and I can't keep skills up to par LOL. [Also, I like originality..]

Ya kinda. Trappers mostly. And for teams or dueling groups mostly.
I got kinda lazy with switching it up with berber pelt which is the only other socketing I ended up using. so most of the time it's LoLo just because its useful when you need it.

for bnet all purpose, 15/20s are nice.
