fort does not add dmg to smite... so i dont know why u would compare coh n fort

forti does add dmg, but u cant see it in da screen -.-.
it adds more dmg then coh+eni , but u loose too much life +dr (ressis from coh).
also eni > coh.
u nn need coh vs eles with a 20/5s ivent.
9*pcs suck too.

i personally believe hoto is useless on a smiter...its not fast enough, i'd personally rather use silence pb instead of hoto considering it gives 75% resist as well as +2 skills and much faster attack speed...other choices would be doom zerker

it kicks butt and it doesnt have coh or res sc... and why hoto??? fcr= useless for smiterdin and that is all hoto is gd for

with fort you add this much more damage to your attack:
(base shield smite damage + holy shield damage bonus + add damage from items [ ONLY "Damage +XX" will work here] ) x ( 3 )

but that doesnt matter. use Mage Enigma.

REASONS:

good reasons to use nigma:
adds 69~ Strength (you dont need to add any points to str for gear any more which = more life)
+1 To Teleport (GODLY, telesmite Shocks people when you do it, then they panic and usually cant name lock you. plus you can EASILY name lock them by clicking on yourself right after teleporting.)
+5% Life ( this is a freakin shit load when you consider all the 20life sc's you will use)

bad reasons to use nigma:
coh has 65 Resist All, enigma doesn't (this can easily be made up with 20life/res sc's)

Armor: COH

I recommend COH because belive it or not it lets you do more dam than a Fortitude, It also gives the upper edge on resists, which will help you when facing Sorc's or Ubers.

Other Options: Fortitude, Enigma, Tyreals, Levi, T-Might

Boots: Goreriders

Works fine and is a cheaper route than using bouts such as soul spurs etc.

Other Options: Grim Spurs/Soul Spurs/Soul Shanks


Gloves: Dracs

Gives 5% chance of lifetap which is greatly needed on a smiter. Life Tap works great for all smiters as smite doesnt have a AR it almost hits everytime giving you alot of life.

Other Options: Crafted GLoves (Ias, Knockback, Leech)

everything else is good but Enigma > Coh all day long. saves you so much str for more life.

Sspurs> Gores for more res and dex for mb

20ias dual stat res glvoes > dracs for more dex but dracs for bm

Who the fuck uses Coh or Fort? If you are looking for a PvP Smiter... STAY AWAY FROM COH/FORT

Just think... Say I am a PnB Necro... 1 Bone Prison and ur finished ROFL!

This is what I use and have had great success... I am what is known as a T/V (Templar/Vidicator) or Foher/Smiter... not a Smiter/Foher

GEAR:

Helm = Ber'd Shako = +2 All Skills + Life + 18% DR = GG
Armor = MP Enigma = +2 Skills, 6x Str, Tele, 8% DR, 5% Max Life = GG
Belt = Dungos = 10% Fhr, 40 Vita, 15% DR = GG
Shield = Upd Ber;d Hoz = +4 Pally Combat Skills +2 All others, +20 Vita +20 Str, +50 All Res, More Consistant Damage (46-46) Easy Max Block, 8%DR

With those 4 items above, you will have 49% DR, 50% is MAX

Weapon = Grief Pb = Only Grief, if you cannot afford grief then dont make a PvP Smiter... Simple as that. Why? The +Damage is not Enhanced, its Direct, which wont show in screen but does MASSIVE DAMAGE
Amulet = Arm Slippers = +2 Paladin Skills, +19 Str, +17 Dex + 59 Life + 20 All Res = GG , cant afford a perm one? Go with a Havoc Collar = 14 Str 13 Dex +2 Paladin Skils, +56 Life + Psn Res
Rings = 2x BKs = +1 All Skills + 44 Life
Torch = 20 Stat Paladin
Anni = 20 Stat
Gloves = Duel Stat + Life Gloves, I have +13 Str +19 Dex +37 Life Gloves, these are for GM duels where you dont Life tap. If you want to just use 15Str Dracs.
Boots = 65 Life Water walks or Sspurs = 15 Dex + 65 Life is Godly. Only use sspurs if u need the Cold/Lite Res

Why the items i chose...

Well Life = God for a smiter. I have 4.8k Life after bo. With all the + Mods, its just the more stat pts you can put into vita. Now u need 136 Dex to use a Phase Blade, so try and use items which have +Dex. With a MP Enigma w. a 55Str Req and which gives +65 Str, Str wont be a problem. Using Slippers, Waterwalks, Dex Gloves, 20 stat anni and torch only brings you closer to the 136 dex. With all the gear listed above, you get a total + Base to 112 Dex. You need to add 24 dex to use Grief.Now you might ask why not use a Raven Frost because of the 20 Dex. Well 20 Dex which can = 20 Vita gives you with Bo 100 Life. With a BK ring, you get 45 Life from the ring and then +1 to bo. Now the life from the BK doesnt factor into Bo, but you will still come pretty damn close to 100 Life.. plus u get +1 into smite/holyshield/fant/foh/conviction/salvation/charge/ etc. all key skills.

Now for skill Allocation:

Max:
Foh
HOly Shock
Fant
Holy Shield

Put +1 into:
Defiance (you get some defence with all the + skills from ur equipment)
Salvation (Boost Res against sorc etc)
Conviction (you will need this for Foh)

Put rest of Skills into:
Smite (boosts smite damage, but not as much as Holy Shield)

In order to have all those maxed and +1 into the res including smite, you need lvl 87 before you can start dueling.

Currently I do the following with all the gear listed above and the skill allocation:

0 Str
24 Dex
XXX Vita
0 Energy

4.8k Life
49% DR
5.2k Foh
2.7k Smite
16k Defence
75% C2b
250 Lite Res

I do have the following legit charms: 35/35/35/34/34/33/32/30 Life Pcombs + about 12x 16-20 Life 8-11 Lite Res Small Charms.

Hope this helps...

AND remember... the Top 5 Smiters on the East Non Ladder use Enigma (Giovanni, Bib, C-Los, Virusz, forget the other LOL i think its Logical)
