Hm, can't understand this.
One player has mara, second player has hl. Mara's user gives hf, and this hf will negate highlord user.
1. User/player/opponent can't be negated in any way, or I don't know such an important thing.
2. You wanted to write, hf from maras user would be negated by hl user, yes?
To second statement, two things:
1. Steffer's smite is SvA, not SvS. Have fun while changing eq every single duel.
2. Do you really think, things such as slow or stacked ias will help you win?

Seriously, I wish to cut discussion here.
Steffers smite build is really unique, and it can do good on pubbies. If you like slow/stacked ias/very high price, instead of high life and medium price but lack of some tricks, it your own thing.

E: Slow on barb can be usefull, but you can lost dr/life to make him loose bp. + slow imo is bm vs any amas because they are really shity chars though.
