I have a problem when i try to paste the files into notepad ++ and save it
it says

Please check if this file is opened in another program.


I do not have diablo 2 running and i reset my computer to see if I could do it but I cant save it

any ideas?

if i want to edit the ignore list ingame, do i have to type:
/filtermsg *itemnow.com*
or:
/filtermsg itemnow.com

???

if i have itemnow.com in my ignorelist, will the line also be ignored, if the spambot writes:
itemnow.com|free....
(without space...)

Step 1: type /ignorepersist and make sure it says "enabled".

Step 2: type /filtermsg *InsertWordHere* .
(each word you add, is permenently added to a filter, which from then on will block the entire line of text from apearing on screen ingame, if anyone uses a word that is designated filtered)

Step 3: type /unfiltermsg *InsertWordHere* to remove a word from your filter list.

OR alternativly you can edit the .txt doc like so,

In your d2 directory, there is a file labeled "ignorelist" This file can be opened with notepad++
and once u open it you will see a list of words you designated to be filtered. All you need to do is delete unwanted words from the list and save/exit.

I would like to add to this, that if you use a persons account name or character name as the filter word, they will be permanently squelched.
If anyone cannot figure this out, pm me and ill meet you ingame to further explain how the ingame filter system works.

Mods on jsp have told me i cannot add to the lists, if people want updated lists they need to add the new words themselves or use w/e kaylin has posted on the bnet forums.

The reason i cannot add to the lists, is because it falls under the catagory of sharing third party software and site names that sell in game items and or hacks.
