very nice i am SOOOO going to try =D
is gear xpensive?
No idea. lol
Cost me like 4k to make when I made him early in the season. lol
I don't think high runes are 300fg anymore, though.

Shouldn't cost more than 1k for everything; probably a good bit less. Not too sure of prices now that I'm back on classic and not sure what expansion prices are like after 11/11/08, plus the realm and lad/nonlad differences.

is there any way to make this char a pvp thow barb?
I'd use gg eth throwing weapons that replenish, have high ed, fools, and 40 ias.
I'd also not waste points into zerk/howl since they aren't going to help you in pvp, and put those points into maybe leap, or max your throw mastery for more attack rating for versus those characters with high defense.
New gloves whould be a good idea, too. Something like 20 ias, str/dex, and high cold resistance for those cold sorceresses.
It is best to use throwing javelins, not the throwing weapons. The javelins throw for a range about twice as far as the others.
Probably best to use either Hyperion Javelins or Winged Harpoons since they are the fastest types!

Btw, doesnt the ds on warshrike apply only on it and not to lacerator? Or is the case somehow different with double throw?
And if you were to pvp with this, what weapons would you use? Im kinda interested in the idea
The ds on shrikes don't work for lacerator, but lacerator still gets big ds chance thanks to throwing mastery and high lords.

Easily the coolest most interesting character, and guide on d2/d2jsp. I would really like to know how long it took for you to figure out how to build and play the thrower to make it an efficient cs'r. You probably already answered this, but how long was the average cs run? A14lso curious if you tinkered with any different gear or mercenary set-ups.
Edit: Did you pvp at all with it? how was it vs pubs?
Edit 2 (sorry just such a neat character): did you usually play with full inv of charms?
Took me a prototype in season 4 to balance some of the inventory out. Got him to level 98 in the mean time.

Shouldn't take too long to get the hang of chaosing.
I have a lot of chaosing experience, though.
Season 3: 98.33 on a paladin to cs with and accidentally deleted. >< Then 98.5 and then ladder reseted.
Season 4: 99'd my zerk barb (much different from the guide by 312) and then made the 98 thrower.
Season 5: Made the 99 thrower.

I was getting D up about 40 seconds after the game was made, unless I got slowed down by the annoying spawn that is mentioned.
Mercenary setup, there just isn't anything better.

I only pvp'd very little versus some friends. Never went to pub games.
Mostly fought their hdins, smiters, and a sorc.
Hdins aren't fun and will destroy (since I was using the pvm stuff; maybe pvp stuff would work well).
Smiter wasn't too much to handle since you could out-range them.
Sorc was tough since they're hard to catch. If you can hit them, they're dead.
Never went with a full inventory, since it was a pvm character and wanted to be able to pick up the loot when it dropped.
