I agree that WW barb and a smiter should be > every other melee char and thats exactly why its considered bm. The whole point of the rules in gm melee duels is for fairness. An attack that requires AR and its blockable pretty much has no shot against an unblockable attack, uninteruptble attack such as smite. Same goes agianst an attack that is able to maneuver around.
Like I've been saying; Smite and WW are technically melee, but in order to make things more fair, and have other builds actually be viable, they aren't allowed in GM melee duels.

Wow where's the logic?It doesn't mean it's not melee you idiot. The fact that you're using sorb against sorc does not suddenly transform you into a ranged character. WW and smite are melee attacks regardless of who you're dueling.

top fury has a chance of killing top barb, not that he would win in a set.

however, in "melee only duels" they are considered bad-mannered.

personally i think that's kind of stupid, but hey, they can do whatever they want, and exclude whoever they want. if someone wanted to make cot assassins viable in pvp they could make a "charge up assassins only" league where they wouldn't have to deal with all the other characters who would, obviously, rape them viciously.
