well, you wouuld want 20+ str on it so you can switch with jalals without statting str.

oh and for the tactics part:

duel vs foh

i think this is a really easy duel.
cast 5 wolves + 5 birds + oak before you say go. always stay surrounded by your summons and if they die, recast them.
it will be hard for him to hit you, it's just 1:7 chance if he randomly fohs in your area, because there is you + oak + 5 wolves = 7 enemies.
if you use 1 wisp and 1 6x light res ring, you won't have any problems here.
