Highlords is much better and cheaper than Mara's, use highlords if you cant find a nice rare one.

highlords is great for the IAS + DS. if you use maras, you'll find your need of IAS.

and for shako, you'll find that you don't need the +life or mana, but that ML + LL is much more useful

I thought about perhaps changing the merc a little bit ...

a1rogue as you state + kira for res (can even um) .... bramble for thorns and faith for bow .... gives baba thorns, fanata and retains res vs trav ...
