Yes it can certainly be done.
On paper it seems easy enough to switch out and have full absorb against them.
However in actual gameplay that is hardly the case.
There is not many pub players who would go to stash, switch up to to 30 resist scs and absorb gear while still trying to maintain their breakpoints for their build.
Rings are especially difficult as alot people stat to maximise hp, and swapping out a ring would casue them to drop in str/dex/fcr and even resist which they would have to make up somewhere else.
(there is even less people who have up to 15+15 fire/light res scs lying around.)

Even if they did bother to do that, the daydreamer could just switch 1-2items (grief/hoz) and charge/smite them.

Nobody should be swapping 30+ scs for ANY reason, your clear lack of a basic understanding on how to build a character or how much resistance you actually need proves my point; Auradins are bad characters that are not viable for PvP and that's the end of discussion.

Also swapping your weapon/shield for "certain matchups" turns you from a one trick pony to a jack of no trades whatsoever, you literally gimp the only effective part of your build (which is easy to counter anyway for a guy with 2 items in stash and a couple of charms) and transform it into a 1 pt smite who loses to anyone they can't catch (another hint : anyone with enigma and more than 2 brain cells).

Sorry that you wasted all that fg on a build that only works with farming cows on P1, stay strong 💪
