Svs you should be 200fcr vita fber

Of which the only way to reach 200fvr with obsessions is if you use griffons.

Which means you are giving up 1 sorc skill, 1 additional socket, and 2 additional suffixes and 1 additional prefix so you can use this staff.

If you mainly play svs, this should be extremely obvious to you.

Its better because with an es sorc u can win every matchup. A vita fb sorc only wins against other sorcs. Thats all. This build gonna get rekt by druids hammers necs..... it has not a single good matchup

Yes, the whole point of the OP is discussing if 105 vita baller would be viable given the huge life boost. I only played 200 fber and it was not a very flexible build, and requires a lot of gear swaps with expensive circlets to be competitive and max out life - which iirc most vita svs were around 3.5k-4k life.

Considering the top of svs ladder was a 105 fcr ESFB (skill > build) who couldn’t tank more than the vita 200fcr svs, then a 5.2k life vitaballer wouldn’t be out of the question.

Winning against other sorcs is kinda the point of SvS.

u go 200fcr on vita sorc not 105 for svs. thats why i dont see a way to make obession work

ES is great all around, but ES sorcs get destroyed by sins worse than vita (OW/PSN/Traps).

And most ES sorcs do suffer in SvS.

Vita sorcs are never really viable in PVP but that was when they sat at 3.5k life. 5.2k life is a much bigger tank than what was previously possible - and remember with dungos / enigma / Ber runes you can still get DR and run a respectable 4.6k life sorc.

I want to try an Obsession based Cold Sorc that emphasizes life and pierce vs cold damage.

Run a Faceted Jewelers Armor, 3 Blizz/3 CM Obsession, NW, Arach, Aldurs, Bloodfist, 2 FCR/Life/Res/Mana rings, Maras or high life crafted 2 sorc amulet.

Fathom has more damage, but the Jewelers Armor still provides some life, a balance in CD, and more pierce. And the obvious center of attention on the build would be towards maximum life, since all your charms, rings, jewelers, aldur, bloodfist, and hard vita points (which is even more since you'll have 0 to str) will be boosted by up to 25%.

Would love to see the numbers on this and just how much of a damage loss blizz with take without fathom. I imagine it would be quite substantial?
