With the help of decoy and merc diablo is very easy.

just tested it: no hit recovery, but easy kill while tanking. 3k FA with high attack speed, merc did only few hits

You didn't answer my question directly, but you mean Diablo targets decoy or merc.

This is totally different with my situation. Diablo just ignores decoy, Valky or merc, and attacks me.

By saying tanking, you mean Diablo's primary Target is you (Zon), not decoy or merc, don't you?

BTW, I thought cantero took the video in SP mode, because 1: all map is visible, and 2: Baal seems no interest in Zon, but I was wrong.

I read somewhere bosses just check Zon's max dmg so Diamond Bow was good vs bosses. But that's not the case with my Wrath (MB), which has no enhanced dmg overall, only ED vs demons.

So there are two possibilities:

1: Duablo just targets Zon, no matter Zon's dmg.
2: Diablo(demon) checks max dmg against himself, ie, including ED vs demons.

I should test with a random bow bought from a merchant.

not a fan of decoy, dont think that is necessary. i am tanky enough with 75@/80lr and 2376 life (including BO) to step up and directly kill him before he kills me. merc/valk did not absorb any hits and did not put significant dmg numbers up. at melee range you can't get hit by his lightning breath attack

i respec'd into strafe and Guillaumes, did not work out well. i think i will just exclude baal himself from my runs, he takes ages to kill... :/

I'm in a similar boat, I just skip Diablo... It'll take some time to kill Baal but at least I can keep distance between Baal, so I do Baal instead, with Strafe and GA.

CB only reduces 1/16 of life vs champions, uniques and bosses with arrows. Pitty Zons...

I believe putting 1 point to CS and wielding a Thunderstroke work way better than any bow, but I want my Zon is pure Bowazon.

Oh, I checked gears on my Zon and found I'd better making another Bowazon.

I am thinking FA/Exploding Arrow hybrid though.

Bowazons are good at killing herds of mobs. And fun! Isn't it?

My Zon's res are miserable, all of four are just around zero, some are red ofc

But I stood right next to Diablo and Strafe with Wrath today.

Prior to the test, I got her a Rising sun.

And... Yes, I took him several times even when I forgot to equip the ammy

Seems his punch with cold dmg hurts me a lot. So maybe higher CR works well against Diablo.

i respec'd again back into valkyrie and decided to skip baal. everything else goes very well. for my six skillers i decided to go with 1x PM/7frw and 5x Bow/7frw

I just do Chaos and Baal, now lvl 86 ish. Life is around 760 iirc.

Now I'm thinking about adding more points to Dodge, which seems works well against Diablo?
