Pvm Summoner looks like this :

I don't pretend to know anything about Pvp summoners.
It's nice to see people trying to help others by posting guides. But feel free to ask for advices before doing so.

Try this guide, and you will see that this necromancer is an excellent baalrunner.
You can even do baalruns in p8 games quite fast.

I know the classic build with beast, and I used it for a long time. But it is not as efficient and powerful as this build.
Regarding golem, I find it too restrictive. It seems to me that my friend Ford300Straight uses a clay golem.
In baalrun, you can ask a paladin to activate an aura.
In pvp, it seems too expensive to use each time a new runeword.
(note that the iron golem can disappear suddenly if you run too fast for too long)The mercenary is very effective at killing monsters, and this allows me to use Corpse Explosion early.
